Getting ready for Spring Break? Use the link above to pre-purchase your Family Pool & Play Pass. Complete and bring the application form with you, and we will finish setting up your account when you arrive. You'll get to skip the day pass lines!
We understand that unless you live or work nearby, the Kroc Center probably isn't the most convenient place to exercise several days a week. You'd still love to be part of the Kroc family, but without a monthly payment.
So, just for you, we have created the "Family Pool & Play Pass." This pass will give your family (up to five people) access to a full year of our most popular open swim times – Saturdays & Sundays, along with Christmas Break AND Spring Break.
Check out how much a family of 5 could save:
Stop by the Kroc Center Welcome Desk today to sign up for a Family Pool & Play Pass.
You'll give your family a year of fun, and you'll be helping The Salvation Army make a difference in the lives of thousands in the Grand Rapids area.
Q: Who can purchase a Family Pool & Play Pass?
A: Anyone! Up to five names may be attached to the account, with a maximum of two adults (18 and over). The adults may be parents, grandparents, older siblings, etc., as long as they share the same address.
Q: How do I get the pass?
A: Come in to the Kroc Center Welcome Desk and fill out the application. Adults will need to show ID or other address verification. Everyone who will be on the account must have a picture taken; Salvation Army policy requires that we screen all guests against sex offender registries.
Q: What if I have more than five people in my family?
A: At this time, we cannot add more than five names to a Pool & Play account. However, day passes are always available for purchase when you visit; we recommend getting a youth day pass punch card that offers 12 visits for $55. Punch cards never expire and can be used in any combination of visits. If demand warrants in the future, we may add options for larger families.
Q: Can I bring guests with me?
A: Guests may purchase day passes to enjoy the Kroc with you; the Pool & Play Pass may only be used for the people named on the account.
Q: How can I change the people on my account?
A: Account changes can be made by completing the appropriate form and paying a $25 administrative fee.
Q: When can I use my pass?
A: The pass may be used anytime on Saturdays or Sundays throughout the year, as well as during Spring Break and Christmas Break when the Kroc Center offers extended open swim hours.
Q: My kids' school has a balanced calendar or an unusual schedule. What do you consider Spring Break?
A: We base our breaks on the schedules of most Kent County schools. Spring Break 2018 is April 2–6. Christmas Break schedules are still pending.
Q: Once I have a Pool & Play Pass, what can I do when I visit?
A: First, it is a good idea to check our schedules. Open recreation times are listed in the Drop-In Recreation Guide; any changes to these schedules are typically posted at the top of this website and/or our Facebook page. When you are here, you can enjoy any open recreation areas, including the Aquatics Center, Climbing Wall, etc. Be sure to review the Facility Guidelines and our "When You Visit" notes as well.
Q: Does my pass include fitness classes, child watch, or program discounts?
A: Pool & Play Pass holders always have the option to participate in Kroc Center programs, purchase drop-in fitness classes, or check kids into Child Watch. However, these services require additional payment; only full Kroc members have these benefits included.
Q: You haven't answered my question yet.
